Participants consisted of 27 experienced and 25 new HA users who completed the self-fitting process, resulting in 38 user-driven and 14 clinician-driven fittings. This study examined outcomes obtained with one commercial SFHA, the Companion (SoundWorld Solutions), when support was available from a clinical assistant during self-fitting. Most of Signia’s hearing aids are Made-For-iPhone (MFi), which means they are capable of streaming wireless audio directly from iOS devices like iPhone and iPad.Self-fitting hearing aids (SFHAs)-devices that enable self-directed threshold measurements leading to a prescribed hearing aid (HA) setting, and fine-tuning, without the need for professional support-are now commercially available. The latest-generation Signia AX hearing aids are MFi too, but also offer direct streaming from compatible Android smartphones via the new ASHA streaming protocol. For older generation products, Signia sells Bluetooth streaming accessories that allow you to stream audio from Android and most other Bluetooth-enabled devices. Signia also offers a broad range of rechargeable hearing aids utilizing lithium-ion batteries. Charge&Go AX, Active X, and Styletto X provide pluggable, portable charging cases. Wireless (Qi) rechargeability is built into the Styletto X charging case. Dynamic Soundscape Processing 2.0 uses acoustic-motion sensors to detect when the you’re on the go.Augmented Focus™ uses dual speech processors and binaural beam-forming microphones to enhance speech sounds in noisy environments.Signia Pure Charger, Pure Portable Charger, and Pure Dry&Clean Charger for Signia AX hearing aids In general, Signia portable chargers provide three full charges to a pair of hearing aids, meaning wearers get four full days of hearing aid use without having to plug in. Lithium-ion rechargeable batteries last a full day on an overnight charge.Extended dynamic range delivers 117 dB maximum input and 24bit processing, improving signal quality in loud environments.Own Voice Processing (OVP™) scans and processes your own voice completely independently from all other sounds, which helps improve comprehension of other people’s speech.e2e wireless 4.0 enables continuous, full-bandwidth audio exchange between both hearing aids, with patented dual processing of your own voice and the remaining soundscape.SoundSmoothing™ reduces sudden loud impact sounds such as doors slamming and handling glassware. When you’re moving, your hearing aids listen to more of the sound around you, to pick up the voice of a walking or jogging buddy. TeleCare enables your hearing-health provider to remotely monitor your usage and provide remote online tuning of the hearing aids-a “virtual house call” lets you provide real-time feedback and interact with the provider until the adjustments are just right.Signia’s previous-generation Xperience (X) hearing aids are based on YourSound technology, a proprietary sound processing platform that Signia claims provides “robust sound processing for everyday environmental sounds”. Xperience hearing aids were the first to feature acoustic motion sensors, and included Signia’s popular Own Voice Processing (OVP) technology, which was introduced in the older Nx platform. Signia says the Xperience chip that powers the YourSound system includes 80% more transistors and seven times the memory of the previous Nx chip, while being 60% smaller. As a result, the Xperience hearing aids are smaller yet more powerful than their predecessors. Signia launched Active X in March 2021 as “hearing aids disguised as earbuds”. Active X hearing aids do look more like typical consumer electronic than any other hearing aid on the market, and they provide far more amplification and battery power than any other wireless earbud available in the burgeoning hearing-augmentation hearables market. The Nx platform was the generation of hearing aids offered prior to Xperience. Many of the models are still sold today, including Motion Nx and Insio Nx, which have yet to be replaced by the Xperience (X) platform. The Pure Nx, Silk Nx, and Styletto Connect have all been replaced by the Xperience models described above. Signia originally introduced their signature Own Voice Processing (OVP) technology with the Nx platform. Signia’s Motion 13 Nx behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids are designed to provide maximum flexibility in fitting and connectivity options. The Signia Nx Own Voice Processing (OVP) technology harmonizes the wearer’s voice with surrounding sounds, enhancing speech understanding in noise.
